Acupuncture
Minimally invasive treatment for chronic pain & neurological dysfunction
Promote Natural Pain Relief
Fine, sterile needles are gently inserted at specific locations of the body.
Medically proven techniques relieve pain, reduce tension, & improve circulation.
Releases endorphins, supporting physical & emotional wellbeing.
Neurological Healing
Stimulates nerves to encourage better transmission of neurological signals.
Helps patients with loss of sensation, weakness, & paralysis to recover maximum neurological function.
Reduce abnormal synapse firing to help relieve chronic nerve pain.
How well do animals tolerate acupuncture?
Acupuncture needles are extremely thin & while the tissue's response to the needle can feel a little funny at first, it is generally not painful.
The biggest factor for success is a pet's ability to sit still so that we can safely place the needles & keep them in place for the duration of the session.
Many pets relax or even fall asleep once they recognize the comfort that Acupuncture provides.

Tradition Amplified by Science
Acupuncture originates from Traditional Chinese Medicine & the concept of Qi. It is believed that placing needles in specific points along the body's Meridians unblocks disruptions to Qi flow that might cause illness.
Modern science found that modifying this technique to stimulate specific nerves & muscle groups initiated endorphin release, increased blood flow, & increased nerve activity resulting in pain relief & improved healing.
Little Needle, Big Impact
When the neural pathways between the brain, spinal cord, & the body can't transmit nerve signals correctly, pain, weakness, or paralysis may occur.
Careful placement of acupuncture needles encourage the repair & regeneration of damaged nerve cells while stimulating functional nerves to continue firing.
If enough nerve repair/replacement takes place, nerve signal transmission may improve enough for a patient to regain function & comfort.

Turn It Up
Pairing Acupuncture with Electrostimulation can enhance the benefits of both modalities.
The acupuncture needles allow gentle electrical currents to bypass the skin, giving direct access to the nerves & muscle beneath.
E-stim encourages injured or diseased nerve tissue to "practice" firing again with the hope that they will eventually regain the ability to transmit nerve signals on their own again.

Acupuncture can help:
Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD)
Fibrocartilaginous Embolism (FCE)
Degenerative Myelopathy (DM)
Lumbosacral Disease
Geriatric Onset Laryngeal Paralysis & Polyneuropathy (GOLPP)
Acute Non-Compressive Nucleus Pulposis Extrusion (ANNPE)
and many other conditions
