Flat Fee Structure - Customized Medical Therapy

Consultations & Exams

By California law, we are required to perform a Consultation before providing any services to your pet.

Physical Rehabilitation Consultation

Price: $240 Duration: 1.5-2 hours

This Consultation is required to begin your pet's Physical Rehabilitation Therapy. You will meet with one of our Certified Rehab Practitioners and a Veterinarian to discuss your pet's medical history, home routine, nutrition, and goals for your pet's recovery. Your pet will then stay with us for a detailed Physical Exam, Gait Analysis, Neurological Evaluation, and Range of Motion Assessment. Appropriate therapies will be prescribed and performed after these assessments as long as it is safe to do so. Upon your return, we will discuss our findings and present your pet's Custom Treatment Plan for both at-home and in-clinic care.

Progress Exam

Price: $50-75 Duration: +30 minutes to therapy session

At your initial Consultation, your pet will be prescribed an approximate number of sessions. Upon completion of these sessions, a Progress Exam is recommended to determine if your pet is ready for more advanced exercises, return to normal activity, reduced frequency of therapy, or even complete graduation from therapy. Scheduled in addition to your pet’s therapy session, we reassess all the same parameters from their initial Consultation Exam (Physical Exam, Gait Analysis, Neurological Evaluation, and Range of Motion Assessment) and meet with you at pick-up time to discuss our findings and recommendations. Prior to this appointment, we will ask you to complete a Progress Exam Questionnaire to learn more about your pet’s changes at home and we will request medical records from any facilities that have seen your pet since their initial consultation. Progress Exams are required every 6 months at minimum.

Cart Consultation

Price: $140 Duration: 30-60 minutes

Considering getting a cart for your pet? Meet with our Rehabilitation Practitioner to discuss your pet's needs and make sure a cart is the best choice for your pup. This consultation includes education on when a cart is appropriate, how to prepare your dog to use a cart, and how to keep your dog physically fit enough to use the cart. To keep our pricing as affordable as possible, the Cart Consultation and Cart Fitting are offered as separate services but can be scheduled on the same day. Sport & Fitness Consultation

Price: $240 Duration: 1.5-2 hours

This appointment is exclusively for pets free of any medical conditions such as, but not limited to, orthopedic, neurological, or soft-tissue conditions. It is required to participate in Fitness Sessions and is best suited to active dogs in need of safe, balanced exercise. Canine Athlete, Service Dog, Conformation Prospect, or Couch Potato, Fitness Sessions are an excellent way to get some extra energy out and provide structured exercise to keep your dog fit and active. You will meet with one of our Certified Rehab Practitioners and a Veterinarian to discuss your pet's medical history, nutrition, exercise routine, and goals for your pet's fitness. Your pet will then stay with us for a detailed Physical Exam, Gait Analysis, Neurological Evaluation, and Range of Motion Assessment. Appropriate therapies will be prescribed and performed after these assessments as long as it is safe to do so. Upon your return, we will discuss our findings and present your pet's Custom Treatment Plan for both at-home and in-clinic recommendations. Pets found to have any medical compromise will be converted to a Physical Rehabilitation Treatment Plan.

Cart Measurement & Final Fitting

Price: $100 Measuring Duration: 1 hour Final Fitting Duration: 30 minutes

A Physical Rehabilitation Consultation or Cart Consultation is required before this appointment. We exclusively refer to Eddie's Wheels for top-quality, custom-built mobility devices. They are an investment and should be perfectly fitted to your pet to avoid pain or injury. During this drop-off appointment, our team will collect all necessary measurements and photographs needed for your pet’s custom-built cart and submit them directly to Eddie’s Wheels on your behalf. All that’s left is for you to contact them with payment and a shipping address. Once your pet’s cart is delivered to you, don’t open it! It’s time to schedule the Final Fitting, performed at no additional charge to you. There are often small, easily lost parts in the box which we will need to finish assembly and make any remaining adjustments necessary for your pet to get rolling comfortably. We introduce your pet to their new cart and show you how to use it as well. Continuous support and adjustments are provided as needed and with no additional charge.

Adequan Administration

Price: $10 Must book as an add-on to any therapy session

If your Veterinarian has prescribed Adequan injections for your dog but you are not comfortable performing them yourself, our team of Registered Veterinary Technicians can perform these injections for you at your pet’s scheduled therapy sessions. The medication must be provided with a complete prescription label showing the dosage prescribed to your pet by your Veterinarian along with an unopened syringe. Further conditions apply, so please discuss Adequan Injection administration with the CROC team beforehand.

Equipment Disinfection Fee

Price: $25

We ask that every patient get an opportunity to potty in the front grass area before their therapy sessions. We understand that not every patient is able to hold it and we promise they are quickly forgiven. We do, however, have to spend considerable time disinfecting our equipment afterward so that it is safe and clean for the next patient. Should your pet defecate during their Underwater Treadmill session, this fee covers the cost of replacing, treating, and heating the lost water and disinfecting the Underwater Treadmill.

Late Drop-Off / Pick-Up Fee

Price: $15

We schedule our day so there is time for thorough cleaning between pets, ensuring that the next patient has a safe and comfortable area for their therapy session. When pets are not dropped off or picked up on time, it negatively impacts other patients by cutting into their therapy time. Please notify us if you know you are going to be late as we may be able to make adjustments to your pet’s appointment to avoid using the late fee.

Therapy Sessions

By California law, we are required to perform a Consultation before providing any services to your pet. Upon evaluation of your pet, recommendations will be given as to the type and frequency of therapy sessions for optimal results.

Basic Physical Rehabilitation Session

Price: $120 Duration: 1 hour

This session type is best for pets recovering from a minor condition, are nearing graduation from therapy, are participating in a long-term maintenance Treatment Plan, or similar. Every Physical Rehabilitation Therapy Session begins with prescribed Thermotherapy or Cryotherapy, followed by Stretching, Massage, & Passive Range of Motion exercises. Your pet will then participate in any combination of the following treatment modalities: Laser Therapy, Hydrotherapy, Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy, and/or Exercises for improving Balance, Proprioception, and Strength. Sessions are priced by the time it takes to complete your pet’s prescribed therapies, not by modalities. This allows us to perfectly tailor your pet’s therapy visits without charging you extra to adjust the treatment modalities used. Acupuncture is the only treatment modality not included in this price, as a specialist is brought in to perform that service.

Intermediate Physical Rehabilitation Session

Price: $150 Duration: 1 hour 30 minutes

This session type is best for pets recovering from orthopedic surgery, neurological conditions, traumatic injuries, significant osteoarthritis, or similar. These patients require more therapy than can be safely performed during a Basic Session. Every Physical Rehabilitation Therapy Session begins with prescribed Thermotherapy or Cryotherapy, followed by Stretching, Massage, & Passive Range of Motion exercises. Your pet will then participate in any combination of the following treatment modalities: Laser Therapy, Ultrasound Therapy, Electrostimulation Therapy, Hydrotherapy, Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy, and/or Exercises for improving Balance, Proprioception, and Strength. Sessions are priced by the time it takes to complete your pet’s prescribed therapies, not by modalities. This allows us to perfectly tailor your pet’s therapy visits without charging you extra to adjust the treatment modalities used. Acupuncture is the only treatment modality not included in this price, as a specialist is brought in to perform that service.

Advanced Physical Rehabilitation Session

Price: $185 Duration: 2 hours

This session type is for pets requiring intensive therapy, often those who are facing paralysis or similar potentially permanent or life-threatening conditions. Every Physical Rehabilitation Therapy Session begins with prescribed Thermotherapy or Cryotherapy, followed by Stretching, Massage, & Passive Range of Motion exercises. Your pet will then participate in any combination of the following treatment modalities: Laser Therapy, Ultrasound Therapy, Electrostimulation Therapy, Hydrotherapy, Pulsed Electromagnetic Field Therapy, and/or Exercises for improving Balance, Proprioception, and Strength. Sessions are priced by the time it takes to complete your pet’s prescribed therapies, not by modalities. This allows us to perfectly tailor your pet’s therapy visits without charging you extra to adjust the treatment modalities used. Acupuncture is the only treatment modality not included in this price, as a specialist is brought in to perform that service.

Acupuncture Session

Price: $60 Duration: +30 minutes to therapy session

Performed by a Veterinarian certified in Veterinary Acupuncture, this service is offered as an add-on to your pet’s therapy session. This service is not available during all business hours, so we opted to leave it separate from therapy session pricing which helps us keep prices lower for you. Acupuncture is beneficial for patients recovering from neurological conditions and those in need of pain relief.

Fitness Session

Price: $75 Duration: 30 minutes

To participate in this session type, your pet must complete a Sport & Fitness Consultation OR graduate from Physical Rehabilitation Therapy with no exercise restrictions. Every Fitness Session begins with a brief evaluation for any pain, swelling, stiffness, or any other factors that might make exercise unsafe. We then move forward with warm-up exercises to challenge your pet’s balance and proprioception followed by a Hydrotherapy Session in the Underwater Treadmill for low-impact, high-resistance exercise that builds muscles and improves stamina.
