Target Exercises
Prescribed to safely improve your pet's strength, stamina, balance, & coordination.
Making Muscle
Every exercise is prescribed to specifically address areas of weakness.
Your pet requires a variety of exercises to enhance muscle groups that may not be used in their daily life.
Strong, balanced musculature supports your pet's joint health, optimal body weight, & longevity.
Stable = Safe
Keeping your pet nimble helps prevent stumbles, slips, & falls.
Challenging your pet's balance & coordination stimulates nerve function & enhances stabilizer muscles.
Proprioception exercises help restore fine motor movement often lost due to injury or neurological deficits.
Target Exercises are more effective for your pet's recovery than any other treatment modality.

More Than Just Exercise
Our medical team prescribes exercises based on extensive formal education & deep understanding of animal anatomy & physiology.
Congenital conditions, illness, injury, & age significantly impact your pet's body, often in ways that aren't obvious to the untrained eye.
Safely challenging the body helps your pet maintain the abilities they currently have & restore what was lost to maximize mobility.
Use It or Lose It
Like any other skill, fitness requires consistent effort, frequent practice, & a dynamic approach.
Inactivity leads to muscle loss, soft tissue tension, reduced stamina, & reduced range of motion. This can begin with as little as 72 hours of inactivity.
Relieving pain is integral to your pet's wellbeing, but they will not get stronger without exercise!

Canine Cross Training
If walks around the block are your pet's only form of exercise, they are not utilizing their body to the fullest extent.
Imbalances between muscle groups begin to form, often contributing to injuries like Cranial Cruciate Ligament (CCL/ACL) tears or Iliopsoas strains.
Your pet's prescribed exercises will encourage the use of weakened muscles to restore balance & reduce risk of injury.
Watch Your Step
Your pet's balance & coordination are just as important as strength & stamina.
Our obstacle course includes a variety of equipment that requires your pet to focus on where & how they place their paws.
Tactile input from different textures, pressure, & camber stimulate damaged neural pathways to resume signal transmission & restore function.

Get Paws Back on the Ground
If your pet gets used to not using a limb, it can be tricky to get them weight bearing again even if the inciting cause has been addressed.
These pets are prescribed Target Exercises that require them to safely start using the affected limb, often without them realizing it!
Waiting too long to begin these types of prescribed exercises can result in severe atrophy & muscle contracture which can be difficult to reverse, so therapy should begin at the earliest safe opportunity.
Target Exercises can help:
Osteoarthritis
Hip Dysplasia
Intervertebral Disc Disease (IVDD)
Post-op Limb Amputation
Fibrocartilaginous Embolism (FCE)
Cranial Cruciate Ligament (ACL/CCL) Tear
pretty much everything!
Nearly every pet & every medical condition can benefit from appropriately prescribed exercises.
