Acupuncture & Electrostimulation

Acupuncture involves the placement of very tiny sterile needles into specific locations of the body that contain a concentration of nerve endings. The needles stimulate small bundles of nerve endings that send signals locally, as well as to the brain and spinal cord, to decrease muscle tension/inflammation and stimulates endorphin release. Acupuncture is effective for the rehabilitation of many conditions thanks to the nerve stimulation, increased blood flow, and relief of pain .

NMES (Neuromuscular Electrical Stimulation)

NMES helps reverse muscle atrophy and builds muscle strength by stimulating nerves within specific muscle groups. This can be especially helpful for patients with paralysis as it can help "re-educate" muscles with poor nerve function.

TENS (Transcutaneous Electrical Nerve Stimulation)

TENS decreases inflammation, pain and swelling by inhibiting pain sensations from getting to the receptors in the brain. This is another great option for pets who don't tolerate pain medications well.
